Little Koala Lost

My third (and final for 2016) picture book is released this month, Little Koala Lost. It’s a sweet counting book for little ones by Blaze Kwaymullina, and published by Omnibus. I had so much fun drawing the different Australian critters and most especially the koala, especially since our little koala Billy was just about born when I wrapped it up. You can pick up a copy at your local bookshop or online – great if you can support your local sellers! x

The Midnight Possum

Also out in April is my second ever picture book, The Midnight Possum – published by Scholastic and written by the amazing Sally Morgan. Gosh I’m a lucky lady having my first two books released the same month! Can’t wait to see them on the shelves….

Smile Cry

Excitement brewing as my very first picture book, written by the clever Tania McCartney and published by the fine folk at EK books, is released in under a month.  Stay tuned for Melbourne launch details (April 9 at the Little Bookroom) but in the mean time here is our cover!

Illustration Friday – Together

I have made this little little book (5 pages to be precise!) that I am printing only 20 copies of, and bringing to Finders Keepers. I thought I would post the PDF for your perusal (probably will take around 20 seconds!) as it makes a good submission for this week’s Illustration Friday topic “Together” as it is all about two together critters. Here is the link:  OneFineDay and below one little spread from the book…firstpg

Cold and Wintery

It’s so so so exciting to wake up with a wintery cold Melbourne day after weeks of heat, wilted garden and sweaty nights.

Being from Perth, I never thought I’d become such a cold loving gal… But I am. Oh yes, Autumn I love

This is the rough beginning from a little storybook I’m writing + drawing about a mousey in a housey.

On the Shelf!

I had the pleasure of working with Tracey Brady on her self-published children’s book, Mackie Neighbour. The very sweet story was illustrated by me, and is now available from the BookPod. I’ve received my copies and it is so great seeing the work in progress now finished and printed so professionally. I took a few Instagram snaps on this sunny Melbourne day 🙂

It was such a pleasure working on the book and we are both so happy with the finished result!
