I’m excited (and nervous) that next weekend the mighty Finders Keepers is on, and I’m going to be there! I’ve been a part of this amazing market every few years (in between kids!) and to be back in their tenth anniversary year is super special.
My studio is a bomb site of artworks being prepared for the event – prints, little originals, cushions sewn by my mum, and lots of other goodies. Come find me!
Finders Keepers was such a great day + a bit – the shoppers there are so lovely, and appreciative of meeting the artist/handmade goods/the general awesomeness that is that market! Thank you so much to anyone that visited my stand, I had a great weekend. I sold out of a few goodies, but most of the prints I have on my Etsy shop, and cards will be up there soon. THANK YOU xx
Next weekend I’ll be joining a stellar line up for the final Melbourne Finders Keepers market for 2014, at the beautiful Royal Exhibition building. I’ve got lots of stuff I haven’t put online – new card designs, postcards, fabric turned into hanging flags, prints, bags and gocco gift tags. Phew. I’m going to need a big wine after the event finishes next Saturday eve.
This year I’m making a more concerted effort to do markets – and kicking off this effort with a semi regular spot at Craft Vic’s new venture – New Craft at Queen Vic!
I’ve always loved Queen Vic market for fruit, veg and of course boreks – and excited to join the talented artists in the first event next Sunday, April 6th. I’ll be on a stand with my pal Amanda from Macaroon Kids – she has the sweetest handmade kids clothes, and I’ll be selling printed wares like cards, prints and original paintings. And eating boreks. Hope to see you there!
One of my favourite spots in Melbourne is the fantastic Abbotsford Convent, and I am super excited to be joining the artists and creators there for a pop-up shop. Launching this Sunday (also the Convent’s Open Day) the shop will be run by artists, and sharing their work created at this amazing spot. Full details can be read here.
Thursday to Sunday
I have made this little little book (5 pages to be precise!) that I am printing only 20 copies of, and bringing to Finders Keepers. I thought I would post the PDF for your perusal (probably will take around 20 seconds!) as it makes a good submission for this week’s Illustration Friday topic “Together” as it is all about two together critters. Here is the link: OneFineDay and below one little spread from the book…
With just over two weeks til Melbourne’s Finders Keepers I was happy to see my little shop appear on the big list of amazing market goers… I’ve been busy creating cards, prints, little books, hand painted necklaces, plates and planting little cacti for decoration! Would love you to visit and say HOLA!
I’ve been a busy lady, working on a whole bunch of artworks and goodies for Markit at Fed Square. Mostly everything is new – plates and artworks for walls, cards for the mail, jewellery for your self… Fun fun!
I’ve prepared a little photogallery of some of my work so far… with much more to come. Can’t wait to see the other stands and meet some lovely people, looking forward to my first big market indeed.
