I have a little giveaway on my Facebook for this little A4 gocco chap, featuring probably the best quote in the world,

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”

Roald Dahl

Come and win it! It’s on a doily (ahem), gold paper, black ink. Closing this Wednesday.

Northern Exposure Festival

The wintery streets of Northcote are sprinkled with small and large artworks today, preparing from tomorrow’s launch of the Northern Exposure Festival.
I’ve been working on eight drawings on the glass wall outside Stuzzi, a few doors up from the Northcote Social Club. The theme is change, and I interpreted one of my favourite quotes in the world…

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Mahatma Gandhi

I drew for the first time in chalk paint, quite fun, but unfortunately very easy to remove. So I’ve decided to go with the change theme and accept that it will probably only last a few days as a crisp drawing – it will be rubbed off in no time! Here a few pics from today. Hope to see you on the Northcote streets Friday night!

“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

– Roald Dahl

A little doodle for the day from yet another Roald quote that I love…
